Worth it, every time.

Small-batch desserts, designed with intention—from someone who chose to build differently.

Meet Misha

Hi, I’m Misha—founder and owner of The Baking Agent.

I spent more than a decade in consulting and program management, building a career that looked right on paper. At some point, I realized I had gotten very good at fitting into a version of life that didn’t actually fit me.

So I left and built one that did.

Real estate was part of that shift—a way to lean into autonomy and keep using the strategic side of my brain. Baking showed up in the middle of that transition, and The Baking Agent grew from there.

A common misconception about baking is that it’s a rigid science, devoid of creativity. I’d argue it’s an art rooted in science—you need to understand how things work before you start playing with them. Once you do, there’s a lot of room to create something thoughtful without feeling overdone.

That’s the foundation of everything here.

Because the goal isn’t to impress you once. It’s to be worth it, every time.

I’m self-taught, which taps into the part of me that loves pulling things apart and putting them back together—through experimentation, iteration, and honest feedback. The process has become more refined over time, but that instinct hasn’t changed.

Richmond is home, and being able to build something here—something tangible that people genuinely enjoy—and share it locally (and nationwide) has been one of the most rewarding parts of this work.

And yes, I still work in real estate. If you’re curious, that side of things lives at Home with Misha.
